The color of each country in the interactive map below corresponds to the amount of Morphine per death by HIV/AIDS and Cancer in each country. I created it to provide another view for the same data used for the cartogram of Access to Morphine that I worked on with Kim Ducharme for publication on PRI's The World: Cancer's New Battleground -- the Developing World. The published cartogram is here. See also my corresponding discussion of generating the cartogram.
The gray band of countries with no data in central Africa and the ones in Eastern Europe explain some of the troublesome artifacts of the cartogram.
Mouse over the country to see the raw data. You can zoom and pan using the mouse.
